Situated on the south coast,
Laganas is the liveliest town on the island,
with many restaurants, bars and night clubs
open until late.
And after a heavy night you can relax on the
5 mile long beach, one of the best in Zante,
and swim in the safe, shallow waters of the
Gulf of Laganas.
Away from the "golden mile" of music and fun
there is still plenty of space for families
who prefer a quieter setting.
Laganas is, after all, the largest breeding
ground in Europe for the protected loggerhead
turtle.
Just 15 minutes from the airport Laganas is
ideally located as a base for exploring
the whole of Zante. |

A boat trip to The Blue Caves or to the
shipwreck, one of the most popular postcards
in Greece, or a drive to the traditional
villages which are scattered around the
island.
Or just relax during the day on the largest
beach on Zante in readiness for a night
to remember in the bars and clubs for which
Laganas is famous, some of which are literally
on the beach.
